The ending was utter crap. I mean if he series is over there is no need to leave such a cliff hanger. Plus supposedly Rush and Elli are supposed to be geniuses yet not a single person even thought that "hey these stasis pod are fairly spacious why not someone double up". Honestly is it just me or where they completely over thinking the problem.

I was sad to see the series end so soon; it was quite enjoyable. I wonder why it didn't catch on?Anyway, that ending, even though it didn't answer all our questions, especially as to Destiny's ultimate purpose, was touching and beautiful. Eli chose to risk his life to save Rush and the colonel, and that kind of heroism is wonderful to behold. The final sad music; watching the lights go out and the ship shut down for the great journey between galaxies; Eli completely alone at the helm - all his friends gone in deep sleep for the long journey - that was a simply awesome ending. Cudos to the writers. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"THE SERIES WAS UTTER CRAP ... in fact the finale has made me want to see season 3 .. as i wanna know if eli will make ... well not if he makes it .. but how he makes it . SGU is shameful to SG series' . The show was a flop .. it had sooo much potential but they failed to build on it .. and instead what u got was some thing similar to DS9 with that hint of B5 . i mean common the plots of the the two seasons just got worse as the episodes went by ... but i digress . the ender was alright . and who knows maybe season 3 will be ok 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Much that I loved every episode of SGU, I thought that it was becoming more of a domestic drama than a sci-fi in my opinion,as we got to see more of each characters lives than the actual plot of each episode.Plus,in most episodes they just kept on using those dreaded communication stones, and most of the drama wasn't set in deep space at all. Those damn stones need to be crushed! It got really confusing at times with characters swapping bodies. It also kept on switching back and forth from one time to a different time!! All in all though, apart from it's highs and lows, I enjoyed watching it. I've yet to see the ending of Season 2,so I cannot comment yet on the last episode. I have read that there will be no Season 3 at all, which is a sad shame. :( Don't get me wrong though, most of the episodes were excellent viewing, especially when those robot drones were attacking Destiny. Now that was definitely science fiction!! I guess the reason why the SGU production team,or who-ever, have decided to cancel the show, is because they have run out of plot ideas. If I had to decide between SGU, SGA and SG1 I think I would choose SGA as my favourite science fiction show. Do you find this valuable? |

Fish 1000, I wouldn't say the series was shameful. I found it enjoyable, and they actually gave it a good ending. I've enjoyed many series where it ended without a proper conclusion - they just stopped. I find that shameful. Invasion, Surface, Wonder Falls, Point Pleasant - I don't remember those as having a proper conclusion. Some producers just don't have any respect for their viewers.

I couldn't agree more with what 'skycastle' said. Having seen all the episodes that were shown in the two seasons, I really enjoyed Stargate Universe. But, like I said I think they over used the communication stones a bit, which is a shame,as the show deviated a bit from being a true sci-fi. But, apart from that, like what 'skycastle' said, it did have a good ending. Who knows, maybe one day Brad Wright may make a Stargate Universe film, like they did with 'Farscape'. Anyone remember that great sci-fi show?? Do you find this valuable? |

"i know i said 3 but number 4 is key to the survival of any show. You got my support on that Fish 1000, as I totally agree with you there. A good enemy and at least one hot character. Although I did miss just a few episodes of SGA, I thoroughly enjoyed this sci-fi series. But, as yet, I'm still wondering if we'll ever see a movie follow up of it. However, I did read about it on Wikipedia earlier that executive producer Brad Wright confirmed that the proposed Stargate Atlantis movie have been permanently shelved. :( By the way,I even voted Yes on your comment being valuable!!
