Stargate Conventions

So who here's been to any Stargate conventions?
I've been to the Wolf events Pegasus convention last two years (so 2009 and 2008), which was a lot of fun,
I'm now looking forward to the next Stargate convention outing from the wolf events team, as they are merging their two Stargate conventions into one big one for January, and including universe in it.

If I could suggest one guest to go to the convention in January that I would like to meet, it would have to be Brian J. Smith, as he looks like a really interesting guy and really down to earth.

I went to one here in Columbus Ohio a few years back. My dad bought me a ticket for Sunday for my birthday. I met and took a pic with Michael Shanks, met the guy who played Aphophis and Chris Judge! I was a happy girl! I wish they would come back here! Do you find this valuable?

Cool, I'd love to meet Michael Shanks and Chris Judge!

I was really happy when I managed to scrap enough money together to go to Wolf Pegasus 3, It was so fun to beat all my now very good friends! Do you find this valuable?

My heart was beating so fast when I met Michael! I turned red and started to sweat and he put his arm around me and I told him that he is better looking in person, told me thank you and I got so flustered I walked away in the wrong direction, said he made me flustered and he laughed! Do you find this valuable?

I had an opportunity to go to the November stargate convention in LA...but something came up and I cant go...( Trust me, Im bummed...The Farscape convention is being held at the same place)...

Im making arrangements for another LA one...and I cant wait... Do you find this valuable?

Farscape convention??? I saw Gigi Edgley at a local Boston Sci-fi con, but I was too nervous to go up to her... I was also to nervous to approach Billy Dee Williams! Do you find this valuable?

I love Farscape, too. Keep looking for the Webisodes on Sci-Fi to show up. That was another one whose time on-air was shorter than the fans wanted. At least they got the miniseries to tie up a very horrible ending of the series. Do you find this valuable?

Oh I agree!! Farscape was one of my FAVORITE sci-fi series! I was horrified by the season ending! shocking! but yes, I'm glad we got some resolution! Do you find this valuable?

Farscape was and is my fav show! There were rumors about webisodes. I think they need to make a movie; I was a little disappointed with the ending of the miniseries, but oh well.
It's about time for me to watch it all over again.
They made a bad choice in canceling it! Do you find this valuable?

I keep switching back and forth between the Farscape Episodes and SG-1.

I am still in a tantrum over not going...especially since it is going to be a co-mingled convention... Last time I checked, Michael Shanks and Ben Browder were the only ones listed as going to be there...

::sigh ::

Now that bums me out even more... Do you find this valuable?

Would love to have the time and money to go to a convention! Would love to see Michael Shanks, Chris Judge and Amanda Tapping! The original 4 are still my faves, though to see Sheppard and McKay would be really cool too! Would have to be here in Vancouver though... Do you find this valuable?

I was at one in Vancouver this past April. I was a volunteer for Creation. I got to meet almost everyone. I got pictures with Amanda Tapping and David Nykl. Do you find this valuable?

Im pondering on going to a convention in 2010...

Which would be better...Vancouver or Chicago?

Im thinking Ill shoot for Vancouver...and if that fails, then hit Chicago...
Im in Las Vegas NV, and have pretty much stayed in the west...I would love to do Vancouver...but it depends on finances...
Thoughts? Do you find this valuable?

If you do Vancouver you'll probably get a chance to do the Bridge Studio tour. Never been to one anywhere else so I couldn't say which is better. Do you find this valuable?

I've been to two conventions, both in England - Collectormania in Manchester in 2007 and Chevron in Bedford in February of this year... the common link is Jason Momoa :D From the SG franchise I've also met Torri Higginson, David Nykl, Connor Trinneer, Joe Flanigan, Peter Willians, Colin Cunningham and Alexis Cruz.

Before I went to one I never thought I would go to a convention, but now I'm hooked. Unfortunately, it is too expensive to do very often (I have to go from Switzerland) but I'm determined to go to more! :D

And I'm absolutely dying in wait for an SGU convention with RC!!! ^_^ Do you find this valuable?

So I made the decision to attend Vancouver ( did I mention this? ) ...booked the hotel already.and am applying for the passport this week..So Im jazzed...I think Vancouver would be almost like Stargate Mecca..

Im hoping there will be some good Universe things there too...If Im thinking right, that should be right before season finale time...:-) Do you find this valuable?

Which Vancouver convention - Creation in April or Gatecon in July? I'll be heading up in April...CAN'T WAIT!! It's my first convention - Hoping to make it an amazing time!! Do you find this valuable?

Now who was it that volunteered for a Creation con? Machara? What was your experience like? Im debating on doing that.. I figured as a first timer, it might fun. Tell me they let you get in some autographs/picture time...I just don’t want to work this thing, and miss out on stuff like that. Do you find this valuable?
